Monastery of Agios Ioannis Theologos

Today it consists of buildings of different historical periods and includes ten chapels and 99 cells.

The medieval settlement of Chora has developed around the Holy Monastery of Agios Ioannis the Theologian.

Walk the winding cobbled streets around the castle and admire the well-preserved two-story mansions and small squares.

Follow the alleys and arcades that lead to the edge of the cliff and enjoy the unique view.

In Chora you will find several hidden restaurants, cafes and bars.

About 5 km from Skala you will find the seaside settlement of Grikos. The bay of Grikos has been included, by the International Organization “The most beautiful bays in the world”, in the program of the most beautiful bays in the world.

It has fine pebbles and sand and resembles a lake, as it is surrounded by two small peninsulas. It is protected by the islet of Tragonisi, while thanks to the anchorage it exudes a cosmopolitan aura. Along it you will find small taverns.

The most organized and busy beach of Patmos, with small pebbles and sand, crystal clear blue-green waters with facilities for water sports. There are bars, taverns and cafes around the beach and it has accommodation options.

Petra

Organized beach with white pebbles, crystal clear waters, located next to the narrow strip of land, which connects the rock of Kalikatsos with the mainland. With options for water sports and taverns for delicious dishes.

Lamp

It is located in the northeastern part of the island. It is famous for its colorful pebbles, the collection of which is now banned. It owes its name to the shimmer of the sun on the pebbles. It is located 9 km from Skala, it is organized and with taverns around it.

Access is either by sea by boat (from Skala on a route that lasts 45 ‘), or following the path from Diakofti (about half an hour).

Famous destination for visitors, with pebbles, turquoise crystal clear waters. One of the quietest beaches of the island that, although it does not have sunbeds, tamarisk trees compensate by offering beautiful shade. It is located in the northeastern part of the island and is protected by meltemia.

Απολλού

Small rocky beach, overlooking the sea to Arki. You will find it in the eastern and northern part of the island, in the shadow of the church of Apollo.

Saint Theologian

Easily accessible in the bay of Skala, which ends at the Baptistery of Agios Ioannis the Theologian. It is not organized, but it has tamarisk trees that give their shade while a breath away from it, you will find cafes, taverns and restaurants.
